I am an ILT staff trainer at Mid-Cheshire College. I have been delivering podcasting awareness sessions to college staff for the past 3 years.  I am a member of  the steering group of the HEA funded project ‘Podcasting for Pedagogic Purposes’. I have written a podcasting guide for the National Learning Network and have delivered many training sessions in the FE sector.

As a hobby I host a music podcast called Darkhorse Radio- I started this in order to familiarise myself with podcasting before starting a programme of training events. More than 3 years later Darkhorse Radio is still a live podcast with subscribers from all over the world. I also contribute to 2 other music podcasts and have guested on a number of others.

I am currently working on podcasting projects with FE lecturers and students in several curriculum areas and encouraging teaching staff to make use of this exciting and increasingly popular resource – either from the receiving end or from behind the microphone (giving them the ideas and enthusiasm to take it further and create their own podcast).
